My three personal goals I set at the beginning of the semester for using technology:
1. Using Telegram Messenger to communicate with learners without giving out my personal cell number. To use it as a tool to answer questions, to correct sentences and sending audio/video recordings. Here they have a more private setting to share their thoughts among their peers.
2. Using Twitter to have learners correct or to comment on their peers' tweets. Here the learners can useEmojis rather than having a plaintext as well as in Telegram , which has the learners feel more comfortable.

3. Using Google Classroom that it can create a safe and private virtual classroom for learners to communicate with peers and the teacher as an online discussion board.
As of now, I had a few difficulties in reaching my goals this semester. Teaching ESL parents from Mexico as part of my practicum, it was challenging having them work outside of the classroom. The learners had families to take care of and job responsibilities in which asking them to use Twitter or Google Classroom was challenging for them. I also believe some lacked tech literacy. For that reason, forcing them to do something they were not that comfortable with is not my goal as a language teacher. However, the use of Telegram to communicate with the learners was a great idea. Yet, with horrible cell service inside of the classroom and restricted internet connection, it was another obstacle to ask the learners to download the application and for me to show them how it is used (They are used to using WhatsApp, which operates slightly differently). Nevertheless, I hope I can use these techs next semester and in my future teaching with also the use of other tech resources.
